As all sewing bees know, pin cushions are a must have, and this week, we’re showing off our favourite five designs.

We are so happy we stumbled across this little one! Here we have the handmade, cacti pin cushion from the Warm Grey Company. You can get it from their Etsy Shop for just £10. cacti

There’s nothing better than keeping this personal, and you can do just that with your pin cushion from Rosie Bull Designs. We love that they have used an old sewing machine as their design. Our first pouches were made with an old Singer sewing machine so this pin cushion design is a definite favourite of ours!

Hand embroidery makes us very happy and so does this pin cushion! You canget yours Peggy and Luce  for just £6.

These lovely little letter pin cushions from My Baboo are yet another way to make it personal.

Anything watermelon is great, so we particularly like the idea of making your very own watermelon pin cushion, using a kit from The Make Arcade. We’ve seen some of her kits around before and we’ll be sure to get our hands on one or two!

Valentine’s Chocolates

We’re back with a Five Faves Friday and it’s all about chocolate!!
Valentine’s is one of the best time of the year for chocolate. Yes, you’re meant to tell your better half how much you love them but let’s face it, if you loved them that much you should probably do it every other day of the year too..
Here’s our top five chocolates to buy this Valentine’s Day.

  • Lint Chocolate; these are perfectly smooth and so moreish. The strawberry and cream would be the best fit on Valentine’s Day. And yes, it is possible to eat a whole box in one sitting. Not that we’d know anything about that.
  • Cadburys Milk Tray; no Valentine’s Day is complete without these classics.
  • Roses; for all the lazy halfs out there, it’s flowers and chocolate. What’s cheaper than that.
  • Hotel Chocolate; anything and everything. Nothing says Valentine’s more than so weird and wonderful creation from Hotel Chocolate.
  • Chocolate Pizzas; we can’t wait to tuck into the new craze!

Walk. If you’re lucky enough to live in the countryside, you have miles of great walks and no doubt great views. And if you’re lucky enough to live in the towns or cities, explore it. I’m sure there’s plenty of new ground to discover.

If you haven’t guessed it already, tea is our answer to everything. Whether you’re on the go or taking a break, your stress with be soothed soon enough with a good cuppa. Why not have a look at our very first five faves Friday that’s all about out top five teas!

Read. Anything (but preferably not your Facebook news feed). It could be a book or an article, something that’s caught your eye or that you’ve stumbled across. Get your mind focused on something else for a while.

Make Make Make! (something for yourself). Us crafters spend so much time making for others and as much as we love it, sometimes we need to treat ourselves.
